Overhead: By running overhead, Sky Rail is segregated from cars, pedestrians and cyclists by design. Sky Rail is not delayed by other traffic and remaining road users can proceed unhindered. The elevated journey provides unparalleled views of the city and surrounding countryside.

Suspended: Sky Rail's suspended configuration allows trains to swing on bends making for swifter journeys. The swing is achieved without complex "tilting train" technology.

Light Rail: Sky Rail makes use of industry standard, proven, light rail components. Motors, control systems, even wheels and rails are taken from manufacturers' catalogues. By rearranging these elements Sky Rail have produced a world-leading transport system.

Rails and Wheels: Steel rails on steel wheels have been proven over 150 years to be economic and reliable. Wheels can last over one million miles, compared to under 50,000 for high-speed rubber tyres. Reduced friction reduces power consumption to a minimum.
